What is Slowdance Luxury Wedding Registry?

The only luxury wedding registry on the market, Slowdance offers a complete curation of world-class goods and services to help you build your new home.

Can I do everything online?

Yes. At Slowdance, we offer a hybrid, in-store or online model so you and your partner can pick the route most convenient to you. If you're in the New York area, swing by our flagship store in NoMad for the hands-on experience.

Why should I register for my wedding with Slowdance?

Most couples add products and experiences to their wedding registries from various places. Standard registries, however, don't discern what couples really need. Slowdance goes above and beyond the typical wedding registry. If you already have the stand mixer and vacuum at home, why register for much of the same? Our founder created the brand to provide a hyper-personalized experience for luxury-inclined couples.

What differentiates Slowdance from other online registries?

Is there a cost for the wedding registry planning/ curation service?

The service of turning to our expert registry designers at Slowdance is complimentary. Not only do they offer curation services, but they help you find your dream registry products tailor-made for your lifestyle. (Consider that our gift to you.)


HOW THE “HOLD” SLOWDANCE REGISTRY WORKS

When you create a registry with Slowdance, we will store all gift credits from guest purchases on your unique gift card until you’re ready to place an order. When you’re ready, simply log in to your account and place an order for the items you would like to receive. This option gives you the time and flexibility to decide which items you would like to receive and with fewer deliveries.

We highly recommend our Hold registry and encourage our couples to remain as such for the duration of their registry. If you would like to hear about the Ship registry option, please contact us athello@slowdance.com. Thank you!

What are the benefits of the Hold Slowdance Registry?

Simplicity and flexibility. When a guest makes a purchase off your registry, you will be notified immediately via email, and we will hold the funds in the form of credit in the Slowdance store. When you’re ready to apply your credits, you can easily select the pieces that work best for you at that time.

Are guests alerted when items are shipped?

At checkout, guests will be notified that you have chosen to hold your items until a later date and that they will not receive shipment or tracking information. They will receive a confirmation email of their purchase.

Will I know about a gift purchase?

We will notify you immediately via email when a guest purchases off your registry.

Will my guests be charged shipping and handling fees?

Guests are not charged for shipping or handling when purchasing off a registry.

If we opt for a Hold Registry: Will my items go out of stock?

Due to the specialty nature of the lines that we carry, sometimes items will be delayed or out of stock. We strive for transparency and do our best to notify you if something is retired or delayed.

Do my credits expire?

Credits do not expire, but we recommend you exercise them within one year after your wedding date. Price increases from the manufacturers are common. As a result, we will honor the price at the point of guest purchase for up to one year after your wedding date. After which, you will be responsible for the price of the item at the time you place your close-out order. 

Can I return my items for a refund or store credit?

All items purchased using your Slowdance credit are final sale and cannot be returned. 

I’m ready to receive my gifts, now what?

Once you’re ready to order your items, you’ll simply login into your Slowdance registry and place an order for the items you would like to receive. Please note that the items we have in-stock will be sent to you within 3-5 business days. In most cases, however, the items will need to be ordered from the manufacturer and delivered to you at a later date.

In an effort to reduce the amount of boxes and shipments, we aggregate items and will deliver in waves. Should you need an item by a specific date, please email us and we will do our best to accommodate based on availability.

PROMOTIONS, REFUNDS AND EXCHANGES

Do you offer promotions or discounts?

No discounts or promotions are offered in conjunction with registry credit.

Can I return my items for a refund or store credit?

All items purchased using your Slowdance credit are final sale and cannot be returned. 

Do you offer registry referral incentives?

Yes! We offer a generous referral program to encourage you to spread the Slowdance message to your engaged friends. It ranges based on the total registry value, but check in with our team directly for details.
